A few years ago, the CrossFit West Houston staff gathered to brain storm the brand. The end result of those discussions was the slogan “Evolve to Your Strongest Self”. Recently, we have begun to revisit it to make it more embedded in the CFWH culture.
There are many aspects to evolution of human strength; there is physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, and character. Each person’s evolution is different and varies in each aspect and phase of your life. For instance, you are most likely different now than you were 10 years ago. You have grown. You have developed.
Building the different aspects of your self will empower you, fuel more change and inspire yourself and others around you. It will provide you strength, and you will evolve. As we go through different seasons in our life, we might grow in one area of our life while being stuck in others or even regressing.
As we evolve, it really is a never ending process. The journey will continue the rest of our lives and it is different for each one of us. It depends on where you start, what you are trying to overcome, and what your challenges are.
Here are some ideals that we think are important to consider as we continue the evolution process:
Beginning October 1st, we will begin exploring these areas through several 30 day challenges spread throughout the year. These will be small time commitment challenges that will reap large benefits to evolving to your strongest self.
The first challenge will revolve around mobility, as for physical strength have solid movement is extremely important to gaining strength. With that we will be doing a 5 Minute Flow Movement 30 Day Challenge. Here is a video explaining it.
We are looking forward to the challenges ahead. In the meantime, Be Strong, Be Mobile. Be Resilient. Be Evolved!
