As you may or may not know it is an annual tradition to perform a 12 Days of Christmas WOD each holiday season. This year is no exception, but this year it will have a special meaning and serve as an important reminder.
In the past year we have formed a special relationship with the Memorial High School Football program, first through the Davidson’s boys Blake and Will then through Coaches James Johnson and Jake Ruse, as well as some other players this last summer. In November the Memorial High School Football family was tragically affected by the dangers of drunk driving when the family of Sophomore player Luis Garrido and his family were struck by a drunk driver. Sadly Luis and his father were killed in the accident, the mother survived. Please see the video below from Coaches Johnson and Ruse:
So for this Monday’s 12 Days of Christmas WOD we are asking you to bring a cash donation. Memorial High School set up a fund for Mrs. Garrido so that she can pay medical and burial expenses. As partners and supporters of MHS, we would like to help.
We would also like to remind you to be safe this holiday season. If you are going to drink, make sure that you have a designated driver to arrive home safely. Life is precious! Stay Safe this holiday season!
