Got Strong?

We are excited to announce the Strength RX program beginning next Tuesday at 6 PM. This is a program for all you folks who want to get stronger. Strength is an important component to CrossFit, as it is one of the ten general physical skills. This program will be all about strength with virtually no conditioning. There will be limited spots 12 in the program in order to efficiently move through the workouts.

Here are some important components to this program:

  • This is a strength program and is different in scope and practice from CrossFit.
  • There will only be one conditioning workouts allowed.
  • It is based on the Wendler 5/3/1 program.
  • If you are participating in this it will be the only thing you do for 8 to 12 weeks, plenty of time to make some good specific strength gains.
  • You will step away from CrossFit, running, rowing, etc for this time frame.
  • Get strong, by lifting heavy weights under the watchful eye of a CFWH coach.

The program will begin 9/18/12. This program will be Tuesday/Thursday @ 6 PM and Saturdays at 9:30 PM.

The main lifts will be Press, Back Squat, Deadlift and Bench Press, plus auxiliary work to compliment this movements as well as core and skill work.

This class is recommended to those folks wanting to participate and in the CF Open and compete in general. And for those who wish to get stronger to be better at CrossFit.
