Do you ever find yourself wondering what weight you should use for a particular WOD? When the coach says “use about 80% of your max for this WOD”, do you kick yourself and wish you knew what that was? Knowing where you are could make a big difference in your work out. We’ve shared with you in a recent Coach’s Corner blog that each workout is specifically designed to hit a certain time domain and that all the WOD’s work together for continuous improvement. So, just like you would use a map, it helps to know where you’re going if you know where you are.
Track your weights for specific lifts and exercises, track your times for workouts. You can use anything you like; a journal or notebook, your phone…whatever works for you. CFWH also offers a couple of different options that might be useful for you.
Outside the Box iphone app – this convenient downloadable iphone app (available at the iphone app store) is a CrossFit specific tracking tool. There is a $1 monthly charge to utilize it for tracking. It’s free if you just want to use it for general CFWH info. You can download this from the itunes apps store.
Success Journal – this 5.5”X8.5” journal includes nutrition and WOD tracking as well as general CrossFit and Nutrition info. Success Journals are $8.50 and available at the box; just ask one of the coaches.
