Is Accessory Work Necessary?
We often see accessory work programmed consisting of trunk work, mobility, prehab/rehab, and even bodybuilding. Is this just to fill the hour, or is it important? Everyone did great on this one- team 1: Sharon, kristine, Eva, and Drexel. Team 2: Josh, Carlos, Lorenzo, and Joe. Team 3: Joel, Chris, Daniel, and Matt. Team 3 put their big boy pants on and took the rest part out of the amrap and did wall balls instead. An awesome job by everyone!

I did the Crossfit weight lifting competition workouts this morning.
This was harder than I thought it would be since you only have three lifts.
I got 135lbs or 61 kg for snatch. Missed it on the first two. This left me 10 kilo’s lighter than I was hoping for.
I lifted 190 for my clean n jerk, which is a 5 lb pr (86 kg)
For a total of 147.7 kg or 325 lbs.
The met con is 6 squat cleans at 55 kg 12 pull ups and 24 double unders. I paced my self way to slow and got 4 rounds exactly which is 168 reps total.
So for my total score I would have 147.7+168 = 315.7 which for my weight class puts me dead last. 🙁
I am not happy with this result. I guess it is time to get my diet and training back on schedule.
