Sleep!
Sleep is one of the most underrated tools to improve performance and recovery. It is so important that early man still slept even though they did not have the secure environment of houses, locks, and security systems. Early man was low on the food chain more prey than predator, and yet from sundown to sunup […]

Always nice to start off the week with BURPEES!! Especially since I was doing Crossfit Mexico last week while on vacation(my daily WOD was 10 Margaritas, 8 Tecates, 6 Tequilas, 5 Fajitas and then stair step back up)… FGB is looming big this weekend…

Since apparently age 30 is the threshold at which I forget the difference between AM and PM, I had to do this at lunch. 8:02, harder than I thought, but good prep for FGB. I’m pretty sure Rob programmed this because he knows I still owe birthday burpees (which I will make good on, unlike Lance). Also, I’d rather mainline Drano than do KB swings with a dumbbell ever again. 4srs!

“I’d rather mainline Drano than do KB swings with a dumbell ever again.”….nice quote.
I did this yesterday RX and got a time of 6:58 unlike the fire breather’s of today scaling up with a 95lb PP. I feel a bit ashamed of myself.
Today I used as active rest as I want to train Tu/Wed/TH this week. And I am still dealing with Patellar tendonitis. I am hoping to completely ignore it and do FGB as RX on Saturday. So my active rest today was a 5K row even though I said I would never do that. It was as bad and not as bad as I thought…20:05.

5:59 RX.
This one was tough, especially after I smacked myself in the nose on my very first push press.

Smooth Ryan. Very smooth.
8:17 (I think?) with 75# PP… glad I did it even though I’ve got some wicked sinus infection stuff going on.
Plus 3K row in 12:57. You’re my hero with that 5K row Rob…

Well, didn’t want to feel ashamed of myself like Rob did, so did this with 95#. Time was 7:55, on the ground for a while after this one….
