Yesterday we had the pleasure of hosting Dallas Hartwig and Melissa Urban for a Whole 9 Nutrition Workshop. What a great workshop! It was full of useful information about how food choices affect our body composition, performance and overall health.
I would urge anybody that cares about improving their quality of life to attend this workshop. Dallas and Melissa present complicated science on how the food we eat affects our bodies and health in a well organized and easy to understand format. While many of us in the CrossFit community know that there are foods that we need to avoid and foods that are clearly better choices, I did not truly understand why. This workshop digs deep into the why and how to implement a solid eating plan that will maximize results, performance and health.
I am really looking forward to implementing the Whole 9 protocol. As with many that left yesterday, I am anxious to start the Whole 30. So I would like to invite anybody from CFWH to join us in doing the Whole30. In order to open this to everybody that wants to do this, we are going to start June 1st so the regional competitors can join us. It is too late in the game to change eating habits prior to a competition.
Post to comments if you wish to join us for the Whole30.

My wife and I are doing it, we started today. That was a great workshop yesterday. I initially thought it was crazy to have a 4 hour workshop over food choices. I was way off base, it was very informative and the time flew by. Good job Rob for bringing them in to CFWH. That was a huge service for your clients!

I am in as well…I can’t wait to “detox” for 30 days and try experimenting on myself in July! Thanks Rob for having them! It was an AMAZING workshop and was super enlightening! I thought my diet was good…but now I know how to make it GREAT! Thanks Dallas and Melissa!
P.S. Jeremy is going to do this with me as well…he just isn’t as excited about it as I am! LOL!

UGH- I’m considering it. I know it’s dumb, and this is exactly what Dallas and Mel talked about on Sunday, but I LOVE my sugar-free gum with articifical sweetener. That is seriously the biggest thing going through my head. I would have to do a car/desk drawers/every purse I own purge of all gum and mints!

I’m in. However, this will take some serious will power to not drink when I float the river in mid-June… I know it’s just and excuse, but seriously, that’s what you DO on the river! I’ll commit though – NO excuses! 😀

I’m totally in. Gonna purge my pantry before I leave for Regionals so I won’t be tempted when I come back! Monday’s gonna be ridiculous though! Got to get it all in Post-Regionals, Pre-Whole 30!

Ok ok… I made April commit with me, so I’m in.
I guess if Rob can give up his gum addiction, so can I.

Steph your post made me laugh. Somewhere around my 3rd piece fo gum today I realized thatit would have to go if I commited. Without gum, coffee just might have to go too…

I missed the workshop. But I would like to try. It will be hard giving up the artificial sweeteners. But I did give up sugar for the most part. It will be hard for me only when I go away, but I’ll give it my all.
