Each year in the United States Navy, a highly qualified and elite cadre of Sailors are selected and promoted to the join the ranks of Chief Petty Officer. Since 1893, “The Chiefs” have been relied upon by subordinates and superiors alike for their personal example, technical expertise and above all, their unique leadership capabilities. As the induction process for newly selected Chief Petty Officers is now underway throughout the US Navy, we thought it appropriate to inaugurate “The Chief” in honor and recognition of all past and present CPOs. Thanks to them and their families for their self-sacrifice, ability to adapt, tireless dedication to mission and devotion to country.

I’ve always enjoyed watching Will Smith when he’s interviewed on talk shows because he always seems to have something interesting to say and just seems to have a different perspective on life than most people. I was checking http://www.p3crossfit.com this morning to see what their WOD was yesterday and I saw John posted a link to a highlight reel of Will Smith’s interviews and his words of wisdom – all of which easily apply to CrossFit. It’s about ten minutes long but it’s definitely worth watching.

Fun one. The squats were the killer. Glad I had the 4:30 class to push me though– everyone was huffing and puffing 🙂

Extra Credit: Matt, Jake, and I hung around and worked out with Mel at the 5:30 class so she wasn’t by herself. We split it up and I think we did a total of 35 rounds at 95 lbs. Good stuff.

Thanks guys for putting in a little extra so I wasn’t huffing and puffing alone! 🙂
