One of the great things about CrossFit, is the community that surrounds it. And today was a great example of that community right here in our box. When I decided to participate in this fund raiser I set a goal of raising $500, we completely surpassed that goal by raising $715. Thanks to everybody that donated, completed the WOD and those who came out to support by cheering on the athletes.
Today had a dual purpose a well, we are adopting Vanessa’s brother Michael Cheyne Cowden. Michael is a Ranger in the Army and is being deployed to Afghanistan again. We collected many items for a care package, and will continue to collect items for the next week or so. Below is the list:
Thank you so much for the support for these causes. Sandra, Zach and I are so thankful to be a part of such a great group of people.

I sure wish I could have made it out to join you guys yesterday. It’s always nice to meet some new people and also to workout with others (it gets kind of lonely in my garage sometimes 🙂 )
I did the LJ 20 this morning, scaled as follows:
215# DL
1.5 pood KB swing (w/ db)
95# OH squats
Pullups (7 C2B; 13 chin over bar)
24? box jumps
35# DB squat cleans
TIME: 30:22
My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the killed and wounded soldiers at Fort Hood. GOD BLESS…..
